The Origins of Forest Therapy and Forest Medicine in an International Context
In this lecture, the founder of Forest Medicine, Prof. Qing Li, will provide insights into his groundbreaking research in forest medicine in English, supplemented and translated into German by Dr. Melanie H. Adamek. The director of the IM-WALD-SEIN® Institute for Forest Medicine and Forest Therapy has been collaborating with Prof. Li for years and supports his scientific research as well as the practical experiences of patients from the rehabilitation medicine department of the Nippon Medical School and her institute.

Some study medicine, others study forests. Prof. Dr. has been researching forests since 2004. Qing Li is studying forest medicine to discover how spending time in the forest can improve our well-being. He is considered a co-founder and icon of Shinrin-Yoku and forest therapy. The professor is a nonfiction author and has published numerous scientific articles in leading journals. He also works with Dr. Melanie H. Adamek for the IM-WALD-SEIN® Institute for Forest Medicine and Forest Therapy (IWSI) and the International Society for Nature and Forest Medicine (INFOM), based in Japan.
